Experience
Our experieince has provided us with the opportunity to explore alternative fire protection and life safety schemes to meet building and fire codes.
Commissioning complex fire suppression and detetion systems requires adaptive measures to verify system performance. The flash file above illustrates one measure employed to give cold smoke the necessary heat energy to rise to the ceiling. This system was used to test Very Early Smoke Detection Apparatus (VESDA) and flame detection located in a 330,000 square feet exhibition hall with a cable supported roof. It was integrated into an automated water monitor nozzle system to meet the needs for automatic fire suppression. Sprinklers could not be installed as the cables are on sixty feet centers and are flexible.
We are actively engaged in the building and fire code development process and professional growth. Our principal believes that committee involvement helps to maintain a keen edge toward developing fire protection interests.
